Tu-160 above Scotland

On 13.09.2015, British warplanes Eurofighter Typhoon with air bases in Scotland, intercepted two Russian supersonic strategic bombers Tu-160, in the airspace above Scotland.
The bombers were on a routine flight in the area of their interest.

MAKS 2015

Last week in Russia held the super aero show and market weapons MAKS 2015. The stars were the latest stealth Sukhoi T-50 and the last version of supermaneuvering Su-27 Flanker fighter jet, Su-35S Super Flanker.  
Sukhoi T-50 flew more common and as it is still in the prototype stage was not able to compete in maneuvering with SU-35S, which in essence is his predecessor. The most interesting is that the Su-35 3D thrust vectoring nozzle, with new ALF-41 turbojet engine, working independently of each other.
Also, they was shown and the MiG-29K, which is designed to work on aircraft carriers.

Mozambique modernize MiG-21

Mozambique has completed overhaul and modernization of eight MiG-21 in the Romanian military and civil MRO, Aerostar S.A. In the same package are included and repair of one L-39 as well as personnel training for maintenance techniques and pilots.
In this project, which lasted about a year, repaired and modernized six single-seater and two-seater.
Every MiG received his basic modernization in the form of GPS system and modern digital flight data recorder.

Romanian Air Force

Romanians want to buy 12 used fighter jets F-16. With this purchase want to replace part of the aging fleet of fighter MiG-21 Lancer, and thus to increase the interoperability with other NATO members.
The procurement includes 9 single-seaters F-16AM (F-16A Block 15) and 3 two-seater F-16B.
The most serious supplier is Portugal, through the company OGMA-Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal, but this requires permission from the United States.
For starters, on the training will be sent 9 Romanian pilots and 79 technicians to maintain the equipment. It is planned aircraft to be introduced into service in 2017.

Macedonian Air Force

The situation in the Macedonian Military Aviation today is not good. The only active helicopters in Macedonia are two transport Mi-8MT, which can carry weapons.
Since its establishment on 10 June 1992, in its composition was different aircraft. Because of the former federation did not inherit anything, first aircraft purchased are schoolmates Utva-66 and Utva-75. From helicopters, first procured transport helicopters Mi-17-1V.
Then are bought Czech school aircraft Zlin-242L. Five of them still fly within the Center for pilot training. Within the same center fly and 4 helicopters Bell-206B-3 "Jet Ranger".
During the riots in 2001, they purchased 18 helicopters and 4 planes: four Mi-8MT, two UH-1H "Huey", twelve Mi-24 and four Su-25. It procured a complete arsenal of weaponry for all aircraft.
Su-25 planes were grounded in 2004 and since then has never flew. Left parked on Skopje airport to decay outdoors.



Part of helicopters are modernized by the Israeli company Elbit: 3 Mi-17 and 2 Mi-25V are brought up to standard "Jasmin" and two Mi-24V in standard "Aleksandar", but today all of them have expired resources and not fly.

G-4MD

Serbia plans to modernize 9 Galeb G-4 in cooperation with Airbus Defence & Space. With this modernization process, the aircraft G-4 will lead to the standard G-4MD - "M" - modernized, "D" - digitized.
The goal is, based on an existing platform that has proven its qualities, significant to improve with advance equipment and thereby provide a higher level of combat training and a smooth transition to a modern multi-purpose fighter.
It is planned that after the modernization, the plane remains in the armament to the 2030-35 year.

Croatian Air Force

Croatian Air Force received 12 reconditioned MiG-21, for implementation and maintenance of air-policing, what is their duty in relation to NATO obligations.
Full squadron of fighter aircraft is located in 91 air base Pleso.
MiG's are reconditioned in Ukraine and with thus, their lifespan is extended for 3 to 4 years, while not purchase new aircraft.
Realistically, MiG-21 in Croatia was written off long ago, because it was considered the purchase of new fighters. Owever crisis led to it, to survive HRZ, had to carry out repair of these 12 aircraft in 2014th.
Otherwise, Croatia's current three bids for procurement of new fighters: used American F-16, new or second-hand Swedish JAS-39C / D "Gripen" and used F-16 ACE from company "Israeli Aircraft Industries".
